About One-9

One 9 derives its name from 1John 1:9 - If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us of our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.

The Mission

One-9 consists to link youth culture to Jesus Christ.

Isaiah 58:6-7 “to loose the bonds of wickedness, to undo heavy burdens, to let the oppressed go free, and that you break every yoke…share your bread, bring the poor to your house, clothe the naked and do not turn away your own.

The Vision

One-9, along with the churches, volunteers and staff will be a catalyst in restoring this generation back to their families, back to Christ and connect them to the local church for the purpose of discipleship. One-9 will assist this culture to discover their purpose and destiny in Christ. One-9 will change the spiritual atmosphere in Lubbock

The Plan

  • Through day-to-day connection and relationship building showing the love of Christ.
  • Build relationships by hanging with the youth, praying with the youth, being available when they need help, mentoring, disciple, care for etc.
  • Meet needs by connecting with the family through home visits and letters. Luke 10:9 “heal the sick and say to them ‘the Kingdom of God has come near you’”
  • Build a 40 member volunteer staff to serve 2 hours each week and build these relationships.
  • The volunteers will pre-conversion disciple and post-conversion disciple, inviting them to connect in their local church.

One 9 is owned and operated by Link Ministries, Inc. a local nonprofit organization dedicated to reaching our community for Christ.

Romans 8

"For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present not the future, nor any powers, neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord"

"Therefore, there is now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus, because through Christ Jesus the law of the Spirit of life set me free from the law of sin and death."
